Jo Elliott
I joined Pitstop for a year in 2005, as a voluntary apprentice, in my 2nd year of training after completing the ABC Diploma course at East Berkshire College, Langley. Tom, Liam, Darren and Dave were my mentors during this time and they passed on a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to me regarding motor vehicle and teaching.
On leaving in 2006 I continued with my 3rd year studies as a volunteer apprentice at Ferrari GB which Emma facilitated for me through her connections at Pitstop.
Ferrari GB was a real eye opener and a truly fantastic experience!
On leaving Ferrari, I spent a few months at Woking Garage, when I left there I came out of the trade for a few months, then spent some time continuing to gain experience with Ray Williams. From Ray Williams I went to Triple S to study as an MOT Tester.
I was asked to re-join Pitstop as a full time Tutor and decided to take up the offer. I thoroughly enjoyed Pitstop when I volunteered; I left only to continue my studies in Motor Vehicle.
Since starting Pitstop in August 2009 I have gained my PTTLS, Team-teach and First Aid at work. I gain new skills and knowledge daily, regarding Motor Vehicle and Teaching. Since September 2009 I have been studying a Level 4 Master Technician Diploma at East Berkshire College, Langley as part of my continued development in my Motor Vehicle studies.
Qualifications gained whilst employed by Pitstop:
